As you will all be aware we are having to close our Community Centre due to the current Covid-19 outbreak.

I have been informed that the nursery school will be able to remain open for the children of key workers only (please contact The Learning Zone for further details).

I wanted to say a massive thank you to all of our groups, visitors, café customers and hall hirers for all of their support in these difficult times. We are doing everything we can to ensure that we will re-open when it is safe to do so.
Please take care and stay safe.
Zoe & the Team.

Lock 45The health and welfare of our customers and staff has never been far from our mind and sadly due to the unfolding situation with the coronavirus (COVID-19), we will as of Monday 23rd March be temporarily closing Lock45 Hair Salon in Symonds Green and we will re-open when the government guidance allows us to.

Based on the current guidance on “Social Distancing” which states we should stay at least 2 metres apart from our customers, although we had already implemented several measures to keep customers and staff safe, we have reached the difficult decision to shut our doors for the time being.

Unfortunately as the majority of us are self-employed hair professionals there isn’t much we can do online for you or start offering you a home service without incurring the same risks.

However to keep us busy during this enforced closure:

If you need any of our Olaplex products we can arrange to deliver locally or arrange for you to pick up at the shop by prior arrangement (we may be able to get other products as well, give us a shout)
If you need to purchase gift vouchers for loved ones – who may need some hair TLC once we all get through this (contact us on here)
keep an eye on our Facebook page where we will be doing some hair tips and tricks, including some do’s and don’ts videos to help you manage whilst we are closed.
For those of our customers who are not on Facebook many of whom who are in the “at risk category” who may be self-isolating for 12 weeks due to the current government guidance, we are planning to do the following;

For any of our customers who would still like a regular chat, especially if they are isolating, then we would be happy to arrange a catch up over the phone.
If any of our more elderly customers in Symonds Green need some assistance with picking up supplies from the local Co-op we would be more than happy to help (please pass this message on to them as we know many of them are not on Facebook (this offer also applies to customer who have relatives in this area)
First and foremost we feel we are a community business and our loyal customers have really supported and helped us over the past 3 years to become established in Symonds Green.

So if there is anything we can help with locally please don’t hesitate to contact us, all the team wish you well and please do all stay healthy and safe and we will see you again soon when we all get through this.

Lots of love

Kerry, Donna, Brooke, Stacy, Elaine and Honey X

To all of our Community Centre Vistors/Groups:

We are closely following government guidelines and as such the centre is still open but taking extra precautions (even more cleaning on top of our already high standard).
However, most if our hire groups have cancelled their bookings for the foreseeable time (including tonight’s dance class). Please check with your group leaders for further information.

We have decided to postpone our quiz night on 28th March to later in the year. Refunds available (or can keep tickets reserved for future date if preferred).

We will keep you updated about the centre when we receive further instruction.

As a very small charity we will be trying our best to continue as long as it is safe to do so.
If you know of anyone in our wonderful community that needs help please e-mail me at symondsgreen@symondsgreencc.co.uk and we do our best to help.

We wish you all well and we thank you all for your patience and understanding.

Zoe and the team.
